Our point2point
range is a versatile fibre optic link system for use in a wide
range of test and instrumentation applications such as EMC
testing and High Energy Physics diagnostics. Modules are
available in a range of configurations, data formats and
frequency ranges.
The point2point system handles any
combination of bandwidth or data formats. The 19” chassis
accommodates up to 10 plug-in modules while individual remote
modules are available in standard or electromagnetically
shielded housings.

System Configuration
A typical point2point link configuration consists of
a Transmitter connected to a Receiver via a Fibre Optic Cable. The
user can apply an electrical signal to the Transmitter which
converts this to an optical signal for transmission to the
Receiver. At the Receiver, the signal is converted back into
an electrical signal.Transmitter and Receiver units can be supplied
in Remote, Shielded Remote or in Rack Mount Module
options.

Housing Options |
All point2point Transmitters and Receivers are
available as either Shielded Remote Modules for use in high
electromagnetic (EM) fields or 19” Chassis Plug-in Modules for
normal EM environments. These Plug-in Modules can be located
in either the 19” Chassis or Converter Sleeve (75002) for
“stand-alone” use. See “point2point Cases” data sheet for full
